In October of 1944 Laura Mundo Marxer performed in the Dearborn Players' Guild one-act play Ol' Captain alongside a 16-year-old George Peppard at the Eloise Auditorium. Laura played Mrs. Waddell, the neighbor attending to Mame Holmes. I assume that Peppard played Henry, Mame's son who was cast out of the house by an enraged stepfather and later came back as a peddler.
It's a rather short drama and I have already scanned the entire booklet and plan to read it and post it here in its entirety at some point as I gear up for Mundomania.
