Group Plans Discussion Of Saucers

Lansing State Journal, December 19, 1954

With renewed attention on flying saucers, the Michigan Flying Saucer Research society has announced a lecture at 7 p. m. Sunday at the Charlotte high school auditorium.

Mrs. Laura Marxer, vice-president of the Detroit Flying Saucer club, will talk on "The Truth About Flying Saucers." She has promised to present factual information about sightings and landings of flying saucers. An introduction to the film, "The Day the Earth Stood Still," will be shown.

Bob Chapek, Detroit, director of the Michigan Saucer Research society, said information will be given on past and present cataclysms and any probable future changes on the earth's surface.

He further said that there are definitely going to be many physical alterations on the face of the planet earth.

"Our research is definitely contradictory to any reports that the world will come to an end Dec. 21," Chapek said. "Many physical changes, however, can be expected."

The society will offer evidence, Chapek said, that contact has been made between flying saucers from outer space and the earth.
