Laura not only responds to Robert Dickhoff attack in Caveat Emptor but mocks him in the process saying that he cannot read because her proclamation wasn't that the Earth would end but that it would undergo a major shakeup. Which is always true to some extent but probably wouldn't be towards Laura's liking in regards to space people. In that Dickhoff called space people cannibals Laura retorted, "steer some of them my way. I have been told that I am mighty sweet meat!"
