More Rose Phillips in Relation to Laura Mundo, George Adamski, The Detroit Flying Saucer Club and The Study on Interplanetary Relations
In attempting to figure out when the split occurred between the psychic factions of the Group on Interplanetary Relations headed by Laura Mundo Marxer I keep stumbling on information in the FBI UFO Files. Stumbling because they have spelled Rose Phillips name differently on several occasions.
In this installment she is Rose Phillip of Bellevile, Michigan, where a social gathering including George Adamski took place on May 11, 1955. In a previous correspondence from the files it was mentioned that it would take place on May 4th (page 166) but was seemingly delayed a week.
The importance of the transmission was a tape recording of the group meeting that George Adamski authorized but later rescinded and requested the cassette back from the unnamed informant. The FBI deemed the tape to be inconsequential and without meaning outside of Adamski's talking on flying saucers which predominates the recording.
There is also a newspaper letter-to-the-editor clipping (page 168) concerning the May 3 and 5 lectures by Adamski defending his candidness and bearing the names of Mrs. D. C. Zack and Mrs. T. George Phillips, which I will assume was Rose's married name. Obviously, a follow-up brief genealogy will be necessary on Mrs. Rose Phillips.
