Here's a December 1978 article about UFOs as folklore whereby author Bob Tarte (the Enslaved by Ducks guy?) calls Laura Mundo's research group a cult. In a way he wasn't wrong since there was a cult-like doctrine of aliens as Gods come to rescue humanity in their philosophy.
