It's somewhat rare for me not to get into a bidding war on an auction but sometimes rational thought guides my purchases. In the case of Laura Mundo's Time of the End, which recently sold in the $63 range, I just felt that it was a longer-winded version of Flying Saucers and the Father's Plan and so I passed on it. I also have faith that I'll one day come across a cache of her works and an estate sale or thrift store and thus am not willing to break the bank on her. The derivative nature of her work affords me the luxury of waiting until something either presents itself in free PDF form or falls into my lap on the cheap.
