As mentioned in the previous post I have secured a copy of Laura's autobiography entitled Belmont via a relative of hers. Belmont being the name of the town in Maine in which she spent her formative years. I'm only 30 pages into the book and it is quite poignantly written in belabored terms of her early years. Then again, she was writing the manuscript in her late 60s and early 70s so reflection is requisite. After the Foreward and Introduction there is a previous titles page and lists her most recent and/or important works which were still available at the time circa 1981. Laura Mundo's Aversion to Psychics in Flying Saucer Research: A Probable Explanation

Laura Mundo and her inner circle's resistance to psychics in regards to flying saucer research was well-documented and public. One probable explanation has to do with a former member of the Study Group on Interplanetary Relations named Rose Phillips. Phillips, a Detroit-area based medium, served as the treasurer for the group according to FBI investigation internal documents. During this same time period at the end of 1954 and into 1955, Phillips was, according to the book Alien Worlds , also actively advising the Doomsday cult The Seekers (sometimes called The Brotherhood of the Seven Rays) which was formed by Michigan State College staffer Charles Laughead and lead by Dorothy Martin (known as Sister Thedra) of Chicago. Detroit: 3 Million Stories Column by Jerry Kabel Featuring Laura

Detroit Times , June 6, 1960 There are a few worthy tidbits in this column by Detroit Times writer Jerry Kabel. The main one being that the small ranch house at 24720 Carlysle Street in Dearborn, Michigan was the headquarters for most of Laura Mundo Marxer's flying saucer investigations. By the time of the article in 1960 she had been divorced for 10 years but was still using both her maiden name of Mundo and her married name of Marxer interchangeably, as well as the term housewife to describe herself despite being a mostly unemployed single mother. She had also set up a flourishing flying saucer club at Marquette Prison. While she claimed to have seen flying saucers and believed that aliens were living among us, she still hadn't had one acknowledge the fact openly, though I would say that both her encounters and the details of such vacillated over the years.
