This is Laura Mundo Marxer's copy of Ol' Captain, a play by Virgil L. Baker based on a short story by Charles Morrow Wilson. I haven't had a chance to run through it yet but it's noteworthy that Laura starred alongside a young George Peppard in this drama performed by the Dearborn Players' Guild at the Eloise Auditorium in 1944. Peppard, then 16, went on to become a major Hollywood actor and Laura later mentioned him in her autobiographical novel, Belmont.
