This is an accomplished poem written by Laura Mundo Marxer in October of 1938 during a two month visit to her brother's home in San Diego. They had driven cross country after stopping off in Dearborn en route from the east coast. The occasion of the reunion was their mother's death in September.
It was the first time that she had seen Arthur in years after the move to Belmont, Maine and he became a judge in San Diego.
