At the height of racial unrest in 1969 Laura Mundo put out a short booklet entitled An open letter to the militant black man which is noted on World Cat and I will attempt to secure when I have more time. She was also busy writing letters to the editor on this and other matters as all good witches and UFOlogists were morally required to. This missive, dated July 28, 1967 appeared in the Detroit Free Press and warns Negroes that rioting only hurts the innocent blacks among them and sets America up for a dictatorship under the likes of racially-motivated politicians such as George Wallace. Laura had some inkling on such matters living in Dearborn with noted whites-first longtime mayor Orville Hubbard, who she emceed several local parades with during her time there while hosting the children's show Play School as Midge.
